چکیده

A new ultra-high-density mapping system (RhythmiaTM) is gaining increasing interest from the electrophyology community, especially for the mapping of organized complex tachycardias. The system uses the magnetic tracking of the mapping catheter. Whether this system is compatible with magnetic navigation is not known. We report the first case of combined ultra-high-density mapping and remote magnetic navigation for a slow pathway ablation.

Initial experience with remote catheter ablation using a novel magnetic navigation system: magnetic remote catheter ablation.

BACKGROUND Catheters are typically stiff and incorporate a pull-wire mechanism to allow tip deflection. While standing at the patient's side, the operator manually navigates the catheter in the heart using fluoroscopic guidance. METHODS AND RESULTS A total of 42 patients (32 female; mean age, 55+/-15 years) underwent ablation of common-type (slow/fast) or uncommon-type (slow/slow) atrioventri...

Microreentrant left atrial tachycardia circuit mapped with an ultra-high-density mapping system

Introduction Microreentrant tachycardias are well described and are thought to be responsible for a small proportion of atrial tachycardias post–atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation. However, because of the small size of these reentrant circuits and the poor spatial resolution of conventional mapping tools, they have not previously been mapped accurately in vivo in humans and have therefore been d...

The electrical circuit of a hemodynamically unstable and recurrent ventricular tachycardia diagnosed in 35 s with the Rhythmia mapping system

Herein, we report a 47-year-old woman with ischemic cardiomyopathy who underwent ablation therapy due to an electrical storm without any triggers. The voltage mapping in sinus rhythm with the Rhythmia system and Orion catheter displayed several LAVAs in and around the anteroapical scar area. Although the patient did not tolerate the induced clinical ventricular tachycardia, which was reproducti...

Atrial Arrhythmia Ablation in Adult Congenital Heart Disease with a Persistent Left-side Superior Vena Cava

We herein report a case of atrial tachycardia (AT) originating from the dilated coronary sinus (CS) connected to a persistent left superior vena cava. The earliest activation site of AT was localized at the superior CS ostium, identified using a novel ultra-rapid high-density mapping system (Rhythmia™). Successful ablation was performed at the corresponding position. This report demonstrated th...

Correlation of Scar in Cardiac MRI and High‐Resolution Contact Mapping of Left Ventricle in a Chronic Infarct Model

BACKGROUND Endocardial mapping for scars and abnormal electrograms forms the most essential component of ventricular tachycardia ablation. The utility of ultra-high resolution mapping of ventricular scar was assessed using a multielectrode contact mapping system in a chronic canine infarct model. METHODS Chronic infarcts were created in five anesthetized dogs by ligating the left anterior des...
